  1. This is Version .90 of HomeBudget

  3.     It   was  created  while  Beta
  4. Testing  CanDo Version 1.5.  It is
  5. intended  to  demonstrate and test
  6. the  advanced  capabilities of the
  7. new CanDo.

  9.     I  have  tried  to include all
  10. the  necessary  capabilities  of a
  11. complete Home Budget program.
  12.  
  13. These Include:
  14.  
  15.     o Multiple Accounts i.e.
  16.       Checking, Savings and
  17.       Credit Cards.
  18.  
  19.     o Tracking transactions for
  20.       Income and Expense budget
  21.       Categories.
  22.  
  23.     o Monthly budget tracking
  24.       for each Budget Category.
  25.  
  26.     o Non-budgeted transfers
  27.       between accounts.
  28.  
  29.     o Account Reconciliation
  30.       for confirmed transactions.
  31.  
  32.     o Yearly role-over of Budget
  33.       tracking and consolidation
  34.       of confirmed transactions.
  35.  
  36. Version  0.90  does  not  have the
  37. Print  Reports  option.  All other
  38. options should perform properly.

  40. While  I have made every effort to
  41. create    a   program   which   is
  42. reliable,  it  is provided "AS IS"
  43. and   without   warranties  as  to
  44. performance,   or  fitness  for  a
  45. particular purpose.

  47. This   software   can   be  freely
  48. distributed without license or fee
  49. as  long  as  it is distributed in
  50. its entirety.

  52. Using This SoftWare
  53. -------------------

  55. The main menu includes:
  56.  
  57.     o Enter Transactions
  58.     o Setup
  59.     o Prepare Budget
  60.     o Print Reports (not yet)
  61.     o Help (you got it)
  62.  
  63. Each  of  these options will bring
  64. up  its  own  requester.   I  have
  65. tried  to  make  the  interface as
  66. logical as possible.  However, you
  67. can always press the "Help" button
  68. on  the Keyboard or click the Help
  69. button  and I'll see what I can do
  70. for you.

  72. Don't  be  afraid  to play around.
  73. Before  entering your own data you
  74. have  nothing  to loose.  Besides,
  75. you  can always choose not to save
  76. the data when you quit.

  78. The  nuts and bolts of the program
  79. is  in  the  "Enter Transactions".
  80. When  you  are ready to setup your
  81. own data, select "Setup".
